12.07.22 Music Therapy: Family/Friends appreciation

In the heat of the summer, sometimes you just don’t feel like doing anything, but stand in front of your air conditioner. Although friends and family may nag and prod at you, you’d rather enjoy the company of the flickering screen than to be bothered. With the beautiful weather outside and the idle vacation looming ahead, summer is actually the best time to do something more fun and meaningful with the ones you love most.
In this edition of ‘Music Therapy‘, allkpop brings you a list of songs that discuss the value of family and friends. Take a listen, and realize that these people are the ones who work hard to bring you happiness! This summer, why not set aside some time to show them some love back?
(Line)
- Part 1: To Our Mothers -
From going through great pains to bring us out into the world, to continuously nagging at us as teenagers and young adults just to guide us in the right direction, our mothers have worked hard to ensure us a good life. Ra.D, however, reminds us through the desperate and sincere tones of his ballad that, as children, we’ve grown up not knowing “what it meant to be thankful”. Now that we are aware of that feeling, maybe it’s time we should show it through our words and actions!
(First verse)
I met you for the first time.
As soon as I met you, I cried.
Whether it was because I was happy,
or because I was sad,
I don’t even remember.
Even though I had nothing to give, I still just received.
And even then I didn’t know what it meant to feel thankful.
It seems like I’ve lived knowing nothing.
(Chorus)
Mom, my mother,
why do my tears flow so much?
[You are] the most valuable and the most beautiful,
you are my mother.
