Performances from the 2010 ‘MBC Gayo Daejun’
MBC’s “2010 Music Festival“, the last of the three colossal year-end music programs, delivered a successful show on December 31st at the Ilsan MBC Dream Center in Gyeonggi-do.
The event had an impressive line-up of stars, which included never-before-seen performances and special collaboration stages. The music festival also boasted a formidable trio of MCs – actor Ryu Si Won and SNSD’s Yuri and Tiffany teamed up as the ‘Hallyu MCs’.
Some highlights include Song Dae Kwan, Tae Jin Ah, and Hong Jin Young’s trot collaboration; “Khuntoria“’s couple dance; F.T. Island and CNBLUE band battle; After School’s introduction of their 9th member; as well as the dance collaborations of 2PM-miss A and Super Junior-f(x).
And like in previous years, the stars were split into two teams: White and Blue team, and viewers will vote (mobile votes) as to which team of performers impressed them the most on this night.

Performances from the 2010 ‘KBS Music Festival’ + SNSD’s Oh! is 2010 Popular Song of the Year
In celebration of 2010 coming to an end, the biggest stars of the music industry joined together for the 2010 “KBS Music Festival” held at the KBS Hall in Yeouido.
Held on December 30th under the theme of ‘Harmony,’ the ceremony was divided into two parts and featured 170 minutes of special stages of the most-loved artists of the year.
The grand opening for the last festival of 2010 joined all of the artists on one stage to sing “Last Festival,” followed by a variety of performances such as a joint stage between seniors and juniors, a combination of hip hop and folk, and girl group collaborations, all fit to the festival’s harmonious theme.
The 2010 Popular Song of the Year determined through digital sales, album sales, broadcast appearances, and text messaging votes was awarded to Oh! by SNSD!

B2ST reveals “Beautiful” dance practice video
Since its release back in November, B2ST’s “Beautiful” has been a runaway hit that’s garnered more fans than ever for the boy band.
A video of the boys rehearsing their choreography was revealed recently, giving fans a chance to revisit the popular track. To their credit, it looks like the video was taken a while back, but it delivered a smooth performance in one uninterrupted shot.

After some intense hyping over the past couple of days, the 2010 ‘SBS Gayo Daejun‘ finally took place on the evening of December 29th at the Ilsan KINTEX.
The theme for this year’s Gayo Daejun was ‘Welcome to Music Factory‘.

KBS’s “2010 Gayo Festival” to pick the best song of the year
KBS’s “2010 Gayo Festival” will be picking the best song of the year during their December 30th ceremony.
Based on digital sales, album sales, broadcast appearances, and text messaging votes, the cumulative points will determine 2010’s best song of the year.
The theme for this year’s festival is “Harmony“; as such, the event will feature a variety of special performances from many popular artists. Viewers can expect to see collaborations between seniors and juniors, hip hop and folk music, and other ‘harmonious stages.’
One highlight performance would be 2AM’s Changmin, 2PM’s Junsu, SHINee’s Jonghyun, and B2ST’s Yoseob coming together to sing Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
The ceremony will be broadcasted live in 55 different countries, including Japan.

Hanteo releases results for “2010 Singer Award”
SNSD topped Hanteo’s annual “Singer Award” chart for 2010!
Based on album sales data collected by analyst Hanteo, the “Singer Awards” chart revealed that SNSD sold a total of 303,442 copies from January 1st through December 26th.
The chart takes into account all albums released throughout the artists’ career, but only factors in sales that those albums made during 2010.
As of December 26th, SNSD’s “Oh!” sold 123,668 copies, “Hoot” sold 94,942 copies, and their repackaged album released in February sold 57,037 copies. “Genie” and “Gee,” which were both released last year, sold 5,500 copies this year as well.
Super Junior ranked in second with 262,610 copies sold from 23 albums (132,127 copies of which came from “Bonamana“), SHINee came in third with 154,332 copies sold from nine albums (58,628 copies of which came from “Lucifer“), and JYJ came in fourth with 127,456 copies sold from three albums.
B2ST, who were recently honored as the only rookie group to have passed 100,000 in album sales this year, rounded out the top 5 by coming in at fifth with four albums.
On their homepage, Hanteo boasts, “Our chart is made up of one of the most unique systems in the world. Sales data from affiliates all across the nation, along with large record stores and smaller internet shops, are all updated live into our system.”
Hanteo has always shown close results to that of systems used by entertainment agencies and distribution companies as well.

B2ST to take a break and attend SHINee’s concert
Releasing three albums, a successful Japanese showcase, their first ever concert, and finally three unit duets, the boys have B2ST can confidently declare that they’ve had a successful year.
After their appearances in the year-end ceremonies for December 29th, 30th, and 31st, B2ST will officially end all album promotions, and withdraw for a period to enjoy their well-deserved break.
B2ST met with Newsen reporters and revealed, “We’ll be taking a break after our last broadcast appearance on the 31st. We’re planning to go to SHINee’s concert on January 1st.”
A representative of Cube Entertainment further revealed, “They’ve run without breathing up until now, so they’re going to stop and catch their breaths for a bit. Their break won’t be long, though, since their Japanese debut is scheduled for February, along with the remaining encore concerts. They’ll have a short but sweet break, and then go straight back into preparations.”

B2ST visits their ‘B2ST bears’ at “Seoul Doll Fair 2010″
B2ST’s Hyunseung, Yoseob, and Junhyung attended the “Seoul Doll Fair 2010″ at Samsung COEX on December 27th to catch a glimpse of the special line of teddy bears modeled after them.
Supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and the Committee of Seoul Doll Exhibitions, the event attracted both local and foreign doll makers.
Seeing their fuzzy doppelgängers, the members expressed their surprise over the resemblance. Yoseob commented, “I was surprised to see bears with outfits from our ‘Bad Girl‘ promotions. It’s really amazing that there are toys with our characteristics, and I feel a bit special now (laughter).”
Junhyung added, “The dolls look a lot like us. This will definitely be a memorable moment. It feels good knowing that this bear is all B2ST’s.”
Over 500 fans gathered to see the boys, who were showered with camera flashes. Having already featured 2NE1 teddies a few days back, the exhibition of celebrity teddies will continue with the attendance of miss A for the 28th.

B2ST to transform into T-ara for the “2010 SBS Gayo Daejun”
Continuing the trend of gender switch-ups for year-end festivals, it’s just been revealed that B2ST will transform into a ‘beastly T-ara‘ for the upcoming “2010 SBS Gayo Daejun“.
T-ara’s “YaYaYa” performances have been applauded for its fun and entertaining qualities; fans are looking forward to seeing how the ultra-masculine boy band will tackle T-ara’s cute choreography.
The two groups will also have a joint stage together, and the members will be paired up as couples.
Another stage to look out for is the “maknae show”, which will consist of maknaes from various groups performing Britney Spears‘ “Circus“.
The “2010 SBS Gayo Daejun” will be held at the Ilsan Kintex on December 29th.

Having released their collaborative digital single “First Snow and First Kiss” last month, B2ST’s Yoseob and Dalmatian’s DRAMA make another appearance on the Boxing Day episode of Inkigayo to sing their duet song once again.
Yoseob and DRAMA are the best of friends, having known each other since their trainee days, and it’s certainly a dream come true for them to sing together on stage.

The ‘2010 SBS Gayo Daejun‘ is drawing nearer, and SBS has added to the anticipation by releasing a surprise teaser!
The teaser features F.T. Island, Narsha, KARA, SHINee, 2PM, B2ST, T-ara, Super Junior, After School, 2AM, CNBLUE, 2NE1, Se7en, GD&TOP, SNSD, and BoA.
While performances from any of the above are sure to electrify, many are looking forward to the dance battle between miss A and SISTAR. miss A is said to be going for the sexy concept, while SISTAR will be showing more of their strong and fierce charisma.

B2ST releases “Lights Go On Again” full audio track!
Idol group B2ST finally released their digital album, ‘My Story‘, just in time for Christmas.
On December 24th, CUBE Entertainment revealed, “B2ST’s true confessions towards their fans will be contained in ‘Lights Go On Again‘ (Full ver.). This song will be released on the afternoon of 24th.”
The song, ‘Lights Go On Again’ was part of B2ST’s 4th album as the intro, and it received much love because of its acoustic melody. The full version of the song was first revealed during their concert, and was such a hit that B2ST decided to push a physical release of the track.
The lyrics for ‘Lights Go On Again’ thanks their fans who were with them and cheered them on in the first year since their debut. Because of their gratitude, B2ST personally undertook to write the lyrics.

Having performed with Junhyung yesterday, Yoseob dumps the ‘Joker’ for some ‘Drama’ today.
Their song depicts the excitement one feels when seeing the first snow of the year, along with feelings of nostalgia when thinking about past loves. The ballad song is a gift from Yoseob and DRAMA to the people they love.
Yoseob and DRAMA are the best of friends, having known each other since their trainee days, and it’s certainly a dream come true for them to sing together on stage.

What are the boy groups up to this Christmas?
“B2ST: Running at full speed next year”
Having created triple hits this year with “Soom,” “Shock,” and “Beautiful,” the group is aiming for the top with their unit debuts for ‘Thanks To,” “Let It Snow,” and “When This Door Closes,”; additionally, they plan to release a full-length track for “Lights Go On Again“. Consequently, it will definitely be difficult for the boys to spend a free Christmas.
On the 24th, they’ll be making appearances on “Music Bank” followed by “Show! Music Core” on the 25th; this in turn will be followed up by a performance on “Inkigayo” for the 26th.
They’ll also be meeting with Japanese reporters for interviews, and have other minor schedules planned for over the next three days, in addition to preparations for the KBS, MBC, and SBS year-end gayo festivals.

B2ST units debut with three duet songs on M! Countdown
Having first released the duets through their solo concert earlier this month, the B2ST boys brought their self-composed compositions onto the December 23rd episode of Mnet’s M! Countdown.
The boys divided themselves into three units of two members for the duets, and it was a spectacular early Christmas present for their fans, whom B2ST wanted to thank for their support.

Following the release of Doojoon and Dongwoon’s duet yesterday, Junhyung and Yoseob unveiled the second track from B2ST’s latest digital album, “My Story“!
Released on the morning of December 22nd, “Thanks To” was produced by both members.
It features a strong hip hop beat which allows Junhyung to deliver his impressive rap skills, and for Yoseob’s powerful vocals to shine.
A snippet from the lyrics goes like this – “Thank you for always being by our side, (You, You, Thank you, For you)” – allows fans to understand that it’s a love letter dedicated to them, thanking them for their all their support and love.

B2ST units to debut through “M! Countdown”
As you all may know, B2ST has divided into three project units, as each pair was responsible for coming up with a song for their “B2ST Airlines” concert. It was recently revealed that all three pairs would be making their official debut through this week’s “M! Countdown“!
Mnet has released a teaser announcing the units’ debuts on their music program, and it’s definitely looking like a spectacular early Christmas present for their fans.

SBS‘ end of the year music festival, the “2010 Gayo Daejun,” recently revealed its line-up of performers.
They are as followed:
BoA, Super Junior, SNSD, KARA, SE7EN, G-Dragon & T.O.P, 2PM, SHINee, 2AM, 2NE1, B2ST, 4minute, MBLAQ, F.T Island, CNBLUE, miss A, etc.In addition, the MCs of the festival were recently confirmed to be Super Junior’s Kim Heechul, CNBLUE’s Jung Yonghwa, 2AM’s Jo Kwon and actress Hwang Jung Eum.
The festival will be broadcast live from Ilsan’s KINTEX on December 29th (Wednesday), 9:55PM.

B2ST to release four new tracks!
Start screaming, B2ST fans – the boys are gearing up to release four new tracks!
On December 21st at 5PM KST, B2ST will be unveiling three duets – a hiphop track, “Thanks To”, by Yoseob & Junhyung; an R&B song, “Let It Snow’, by Hyunseung and Lee Ki Kwang; and “When the Door Closes” by Doojoon and Dongwoon. The group will also be releasing the complete version of “Lights Go On Again”.
These tracks were in fact performed exclusively at their concert on December 11th, but due to high demand, B2ST decided to reveal these self-composed songs a little earlier than planned.
“B2ST, who have positioned themselves as one of the best boy groups with their fourth album ‘Beautiful‘, wanted to release new songs to repay their fans’ support. The members also struggled a lot to prepare each of their unit performances during their busy schedule,” stated Cube Entertainment.

B2ST brings “Soom” back to Inkigayo because you’re “Beautiful”
It was a special Inkigayo episode on December 19th as one of K-pop’s top acts, B2ST, returned!
