B2ST’s Yoseob hopes to break the ‘three second idol singers’ stereotype
After making a comeback with their first official album, “Fiction and Fact“, B2ST’s main vocalist Yoseob sat down for an interview with Sports Chosun to speak for the group on idols being stereotyped as ‘three-second singers’.
The stereotype first came about after idol groups began adding members that sang no more than three seconds’ worth of lines; the weight of the song was placed more firmly onto the main vocalist instead.
Addressing the stereotype, Yoseob said, “We want to break that stereotype. It’s not right for groups to put the weight of the song on one member alone, and we’ve reached a point where we’re now regarded as ‘three-second singers’.”
He continued, “Through this album, we hope to show that each of our members have live vocal talents. We practiced very hard and garnered more skills along the way, Dongwoon especially. In order to show our improvements, we made sure to distribute the parts evenly so that fans can hear each of our voices.”
When asked whether it was difficult for them to pull off “Fiction” live since the tone is higher than what male groups usually go for, he replied, “The only hard part was the initial recording process. We were busy preparing for our comeback and recorded about two songs a day. When we had to redo recordings or complete intros, we’d do three songs in a day. Compared to ‘Shock‘ and ‘Soom‘, I think this song fits us the best. It’s a lot easier to sing.”
Reporters asked, “Don’t you think it’s easier because you’ve improved?”, to which Yoseob humbly replied, “No, it’s not like that at all. I still have a long way to go.”

110526 [Exclusive] BEAST, love in fiction... wild beast 'sorrowful gestures'
Beast is back. Group BEAST confronts their fans again with the title song <Fiction>. This music video gathered attention by starring Yong Junhyung and actress Park Boyoung. In that intense heat, we stuck our lens in.
# Are we like 5 Eagle Brothers?
This music video portrays a man continuing his sorrowful love by writing a novel through his imagination because he cannot accept the fact that he broke up with his lover. The set reminded us of SF movie shooting, fitting perfectly with the theme.
# 'Smile man' Yang yoseob~!
BEAST's 'smile man' Yang Yoseob was endless. The smile never left his mouth when he was posing arrogantly as if commanding other members and even when he was receiving makeup wearing an elegant suit.
# Park Boyoung in BEAST
More weight was added to this music video by starring actress Park Boyoung. Park Boyoung, who exchanged loving eye glances with Yong Junhyung, showed aspect as a pro actress with natural tear act.
# Yong Junhyung - Yoon Dujun Strong Charisma
BEAST's two charisma have met. This two, who have the most mature charms in the group, showed off their manliness even during the music video shooting scene. Who is the final winner?
# 'Handsome' than 'Beast'
BEAST's group name have the meaning of beast. But if we look at closely at each and every aspect of them, they are more close to a handsome group than beast. Especailly, BEAST's member Lee Kikwang, who is in charge of appearance, has a 'side appearance' that is incomparable to others.

On May 20th, B2ST guested on KBS FM’s “Super Junior’s Kiss the Radio” and performed their two comeback tracks, “Rainy Days” and “Fiction” plus their “Beautiful” track.

B2ST unexpectedly wins on KBS’s Music Bank with “On Rainy Days” ballad!
It’s only been a week since B2ST made their official comeback with their first full album, “Fiction And Fact“, and the boys were pleasantly taken aback when they were awarded first place on this week’s KBS’s Music Bank K-Chart for their ballad song, “On Rainy Days“, rather than for their actively promoted title track, “Fiction“.
“On Rainy Days” was released a few days before the official release of their album, and it quickly became an instant hit on various music charts, as many listeners acknowledged the group’s vocal ability powering the song’s soothing, addictive melody.
After their K-Chart win this week, B2ST expressed “We were extremely happy after our win with ‘Fiction’ yesterday, but this win is a lot more meaningful as it’s the first time we’ve won an award for a song that’s not our title track. To think we received first for two of our songs in just a week, all we can say is how thankful we are. We will thrive to work even harder.”
Congratulations to B2ST on their win!
