B2ST was recently revealed to be the only rookie idols to have sold over 100,000 albums in 2010.
According to information revealed by the album sales research site Hanteo, including B2ST’s debut album in October, the group has released a total of four albums to date, recording 106,007 copies in sales from January 1st through December 10th of 2010.
Out of all of the groups that debuted a year ago, B2ST is the only group to have achieved such a feat. Their fourth mini-album, released on November 8th, has sold 35,350 copies thus far and is still holding on in major music charts with the title track “Beautiful” ranking first.
Their third mini-album, released on September 30th, has sold 33,777 copies through December 10th, while their second mini-album, released on March 3rd, sold 28,520 copies. The group’s debut mini-abum, released on October 26th, has sold 9,359 copies from January 1st through December 10th.
Their total puts them in the top five of Hanteo Chart’s “2010 Singer Award,” right alongside alongside SNSD, Super Junior, SHINee, and JYJ. The award takes into account all of the albums released in the artist’s history, but only includes the sales of those albums during the year the award is given for.
